What is a Shielded Wire Harness

Kable-X has been specializing in the production of customized wiring harnesses for 20 years. The products are widely used in industrial control, medical, new energy and other fields. As the core of wiring harnesses, cables are the most used daily. What are the structures of commonly used shielded cables?
1. What is a shielded wire
Shielded wire is a transmission wire that uses a mesh braided wire to wrap the signal wire. A conductor wrapped with a conductor outside the wire is called a shielded wire, and the wrapped conductor is called a shielding layer, which is generally a braided copper mesh or (aluminum). The conductors close together while reducing the loss of the transmitted signal. The shielding layer of the shielded cable is mainly made of non-magnetic materials such as copper and aluminum. The effect of the shielding layer is not mainly caused by the reflection and absorption of the electric field and magnetic field by the metal body itself, but is caused by the grounding of the shielding layer. The different form will directly affect the shielding effect.
2. The role of shielded wire
The shield generally needs to be grounded. The function of the shielded wire is to isolate the electromagnetic field noise source from the sensitive equipment and cut off the propagation path of the noise source. Shielding is divided into active shielding and passive shielding. The purpose of active shielding is to prevent the noise source from radiating outward, which is the shielding of the noise source; the purpose of passive shielding is to prevent the sensitive equipment from being interfered by the noise source, which is the shielding of the sensitive equipment.

3.The diameter of the cable conductor is generally 0.1mm (measured by a vernier caliper), 0.08mm and 0.05mm; the common materials of the conductor are the following two: 1. Tinned copper 2. Bare copper.
Insulation material and appearance requirements: The insulation material is generally PVC, and the insulation appearance requirements are also relatively strict, with the following points: 1. No color difference, no impurities; coking; burrs 2. Correct color; uniform insulation thickness; insulation resistance Adhesion; high strength.
