The Difference between Silicone Wire and PVC Wire

The material and function of the silicone wire:
The silicone wire is made of high-quality silicone rubber and high-purity tinned copper strands, and has the advantages of high and low temperature resistance, insulation and so on. It has excellent electrical insulation properties, excellent chemical stability, high voltage resistance, aging resistance, long service life, and is soft and easy to install. Products are widely used in lighting fixtures, household appliances, electric heating appliances, instrumentation, motor lead wires and high temperature environments such as electronics, lamps, and gas appliances.
The material and function of the PVC wire:
The PVC wire generally has a temperature resistance range of -15°C to 80°C, while the silicone wire can reach the temperature range of -60°C to 200°C. The PVC wire has a short service life, generally about two years, and is less flexible. Weak anti-aging performance, easy to crack under sunlight, suitable for use in indoor lamps and home appliances. The PVC wire itself is relatively hard. The surface is smooth and the brightness is high. The cost of PVC of the same specification is much lower than that of silicone wire, and the compressive strength is also lower than that of silicone wire. The bending recovery ability of PVC wire is poor, and it is difficult to restore the original appearance after bending and folding. The silicone wire also has shortcomings, such as poor tear resistance of the sheath and high manufacturing cost.
