How to Avoid Poor Contact of Terminals?

The Wire Harness industry is booming. As one of the thousands of manufacturers in the wire harness industry, Kable-X can provide customers with one-stop service for connectors. The company has always attached great importance to quality management, so our products are in compliance with a number of certifications, including IPC620, both in terms of production process and finished products.

We mainly produce Industrial Cable Assembly, communication wire harness, Medical Cable Assembly and automotive Wiring Harness. Today, the demand for wiring harnesses in the new energy industry is also increasing, especially for new energy Energy Storage Wire Harness and new energy vehicle wiring harness. In the production process of wire harness, many kinds of raw materials need to be used. In addition to wires, the most used ones are connectors, terminals, plastic shells, sleeves, and labels. The next thing I want to talk about is the use of terminal blocks.

Custom Cable Assembly If there is poor contact during the use of the terminal block, you must find out the reason for the poor contact of the terminal block and deal with it in time, so as not to cause greater losses due to delay. So, what causes the poor contact of the terminals?

Analysis of the causes of poor contact in the terminal block The composition of the terminal block is composed of metal conductors and insulating materials, and it transmits external voltage, current or signal to the corresponding contacts of the matching Connector. Therefore, the reasons for the poor contact of the terminal may be: unreasonable terminal structure design, unqualified metal conductor, size error, improper assembly, and improper operation and use, etc., will cause poor contact.

Therefore, the solution is to prevent the occurrence of poor contact in the use of the terminal block by the following methods before use:
1.Before use, conduct a point-by-point continuity test on the terminal block to see if it meets the requirements;
2.Strictly follow the terminal operation instructions to install it correctly;
3.Test the insertion force detection or retention force detection of the terminal to prevent the looseness of individual jacks from causing poor contact.
